IGNITE HER, SHE BUILDS Program

Give her a chance to learn. Give her a chance to earn. Give her a chance to build. For many girls, becoming a mother too early can change the direction of their lives. School stops. Opportunities become fewer. Financial dependence grows. And without the right support, the same cycle can continue from one generation to the next.

But an interrupted journey does not have to become a finished story.

That is the heart of Ignite Her, She Builds — a project of the Anny Tibs Foundation supporting young women and teenage mothers in Wakiso to regain opportunities, build skills and create a better future for themselves and their children.

We want to help her find her way forward.

For girls who are able to return to education, we will support their journey back to school.

Because going back to school is more than returning to a classroom. It is giving a girl another opportunity to learn, dream, develop her potential and build choices for her future.

We want to help prevent more girls from being pushed into the same circumstances by creating pathways to education, knowledge and opportunity before the cycle continues.

For young mothers who may not be able to return to school, we provide another pathway — practical skills, livelihood opportunities, health and wellbeing support, legal and rights education, digital knowledge and mentorship.

The goal is not simply to support her for today.

• It is to give her tools that can change what tomorrow looks like.
• When she returns to school, she gains another chance.
• When she learns a skill, she gains another possibility.
• When she understands her rights, she becomes better equipped to protect herself.

When she develops a source of income, she gains greater independence.

And when she has the confidence and support to make informed decisions, she can begin to break a cycle that may otherwise repeat itself.
